It was a gorgeous day! Just look at these pictures! We went back to Old San Juan, to get the view in the daylight, and glamor shots of course. We picked up Migdalia to join us, she's originally from New Jersey, but has been living here for a few years. I think everyone had a blast!

The colors are so pretty, even the bricks for the streets are a pretty shade of blue. The buildings are bright colors with white trim, the plants and flowers are bright too. And usually a cat is hanging around nearby. There are plenty of plazas with fountains and art.
We went back to El Morro, it is much easier to see how huge it is. The view was nice from the edge, we walked through the yard, and around the wall, and through the gate to the other side of the wall, and down the trail to the lookout points.

All of that walking made us hungry for lunch- waffles! Genesis had found this place and somehow knew it was the right place to take us. How could this not be good? Casie and I shared chicken pesto, balsamic tomato pesto goat cheese, creme brulee, and guava with cheese. They all tasted great, but the guava with cheese was my favorite. It's just such a fantastic combinarion of flavors, I nearly fell out my chair with delight.

We got home, only to pack and hit the road again. We're heading to Guanica, near Ponce, which is about 3 hours away on the Southern side of the island. We had to fit 6 in our car, I got to drive so I wasn't squished, but I heard some cries from the backseat... Driving here is fun, there isn't any strict rule. So on one hand it takes some pressure off. But then there is the other hand, when it is frustrating that on an expressway someone will be going 30 mph in the left lane. And it is up to me to get around them, they're not going to move over. But everyone else may be passing on either side too. I have to be completely focused. Which I was, in a car full of ladies super excited to be spending a weekend near the beach!

Our house is amazing! It can hold 10 guests, and the the hosts also live here. It is a huge, beautifully decorated house, on a quiet road. It feels like we stepped out of the car and into a movie, so surreal. And there is a pool! We just had to take a night swim under the stars.
